"Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang" Official Movie Poster Analysis

Posted at  6:40 PM  |  in  FILM POSTERS

What makes the 'Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang' official movie poster different from other movie posters? What makes this official movie poster unique? Here's our short analysis.

'Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang' is the story of how a young woman became the first "aswang," which is a really tricky story. The theory of this story is that she became an "aswang" because of her pain and suffering due to the loss of her child, which leads to her renouncing of her faith and revenge against the whole town. I think she just turned psycho. If that's the theory, then there are a lot of "aswangs" around us today.

Anyway, let's get to the official movie poster analysis.

Corazan Official Movie Poster Analysis

1. The Billing

When looking at a movie poster, the first thing that you should be aware of is the billing, that is, the order of the names of the cast in the movie. The name that is mentioned first gets paid more. However, the artist's name which comes right after the word "AND" also has importance when it comes to billing. In this case, Derek Ramsey's name came before Erich Gonzales, which means he gets more money.

But we really can't tell who gets to be paid more, because this is Erich Gonzales' title role movie, and Derek Ramsey only plays her husband. Yet, Derek's name came first. This may be due to the fact that his latest movie No Other Woman was an outstanding blockbuster.

2. The Photo

The photo in this movie photo looks REALLY weird. And it may look like something else if you will think "green." Look at those grass and how it is formed! Hahaha! They really look like something else. And that hole in the ground! Whew!

I don't know if this weird appearance of the grass would have something to do with the movie. They say the two main cast have a hot love scene. This must probably it. But that was just a wild guess!

And where is Erich's other foot, by the way?

3. The Producers

"Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang" is produced by Star Cinema, together with Skylight Films and Reality Entertainment.

I can't get any information about Reality Entertainment but I learned that Skylight Films is one of the independent films division of Star Cinema. Recently, Skylight Films has also produced #MyCactusHeart. Looks like Star Cinema is slowly getting out of the mainstream and slowly stepping into independent filming, nowadays.

Did it give you an idea of how good or bad the movie will be?

And that's all for our analysis of the official movie poster of "Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang." What about you? What can you say about the movie poster? Did you like it? Why or why not? Please share your thoughts in the comments below.
