Oscars 2011 Nominees Complete List and Winners!

Nominations for the 83rd Academy Awards were announced Tuesday, January 25, 2011 by Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Tom Sherak and 2009 Oscar winner Mo'Nique.

Tom Hooper's historical drama The King's Speech leads the Oscar nominees with 12 nods including the nomination for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actress and Best Supporting Actor.

Joel and Ethan Coen's western adventure drama True Grit caught 10 nominations including the categories of Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Cinematograpy.

The Social Network and Inception ties with eight nominations.

The biographical film by David Fincher received nominations under the categories Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Film Editing, Best Original Score, Best Cinematography, Best Sound Mixing and Best Adapted Screenplay.

The mind-bending sci-fi mystery by Christopher Nolan bagged nominations for Best Picture, Best Visual Effects, Best Original Score, Best Cinematography, Best Sound Mixing, Best Sound Editing, Best Art Direction and Best Original Screenplay.

The Academy Awards, popularly known as the Oscars, is the most prestigious awarding ceremony in the world. It is also the oldest awarding ceremony from which other ceremonies like the Golden Globe Awards are molded.

The 83rd Academy Awards will take place on February 27, 2011, at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California. Actors James Franco and Anne Hathaway will be co-hosting the ceremony, which will be the first time for each.
