Clash of the Titans 3D Movie Trailer, Cast and Plot Summary/Synopsis

Saturday, March 13, 2010

Percy Jackson would look like a worm compared to Clash of the Titans, the newest 3D fantasy film from Warner Bros., starring Sam Worthington and directed by Louis Leterrier.

Clash of the Titans 3D, remake of 1981 fantasy film of the same title, is loosely based on the Greek mythology of Perseus, one of the mortal sons of Zeus. This is movie of epic proportions which can beat Avatar in the box office. Seeing the Kraken in the trailer, I remember Pirates of the Carribean in this movie. That lung-filling adventure, nerve-pounding special effects and heart-crunching story.

We have met the lead actor Sam Worthington as Jake Sully in Avatar and Marcus Wright in Terminator Salvation. On the other hand, Louis Leterrier had directed notable films like Transporter 2, Unleashed and Incredible Hulk.

Clash of the Titans was supposed to be released on March 26, 2010, but when the 3D testing has been successful, the producers converted the whole movie to 3D and moved the release on April 2, 2010 worldwide.

Clash of the Titans 3D Plot Summary/Synopis

Warner Bros. has released the plot summary/synopsis of Clash of the Titans:

Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Sam Worthington) is helpless to save his family from Hades (Ralph Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing left to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus (Liam Neeson) and unleash hell on earth. Leading a daring band of warriors, Perseus sets off on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, he will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny.

This plot summary/synopsis is somewhat vague so I would like to brief you more about the Clash of the Titans. This is a movie about how Perseus captures Pegasus, killed the serpent-haired Medusa, slay giant scorpions and save Andromeda from the Kraken.

What's the difference between Clash of the Titans 2010 remake and the Clash of the Titans 1981 original?

Although both are about the Greek mythological hero Perseus as he faces adventures after adventures in order to save her beloved Andromeda, the Clash of the Titans remake differs as it identifies Hades, the god of the Underworld as the main antagonist in the movie. We will see the gods in action here as they try to control the fate of the mortals in their hands.
